Leopoldo Raij, M.D. Appointed to the Faculty Advisory Board

Leopoldo Raij, M.D., professor of medicine and director of hypertension at the Miller School and chief of the Nephrology/Hypertension Section at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center, has been appointed to the new Faculty Advisory Board of the Center for Latin American Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences. As director of the Miller School’s Program for International Research Scholars at the International Medicine Institute, Raij is dedicated to advancing biomedical research through international collaborations and in his advisory role will help fellow board members from such diverse fields as law, engineering and music promote cross-school interdisciplinary initiatives.
